Wow I can’t believe it has been over a month and half since I posted last. A lot has been going on.
Evan turned 6 on April 16th. He is such a little man. He decided he didn’t want us to pick out his gifts. So we took him shopping and he was able to pick out his presents. He told all of his school friends he was able to buy what ever he wanted. Needless to say a few of the moms mentioned it to me. Evan started tee ball the other night. We originally didn’t sign him up for it. But last minuet and I mean a couple hours before he decided he wanted to play. So after a mad rush to call a friend to help find him a team we were able to place him on the same one as his cousin. He is doing great in school so well that the teacher has discussed with me having him skip a grade. I am not really up for that one I think that the kids that normally skipped a grade were pretty backwards. I don’t want him to grow up to fast and I don’t think that he is emotionally ready for the 2nd grade. He will be graduating from kindergarten on the 22nd of May I can’t wait to see him in his cap and gown. We also have to find him a new school. We are in open enrollment currently and the school that he is going to is closing off 1st grade. So we are not going to be able to attend it next year. He is also going to be having surgery on the 2nd of June. He has been having a lot of sore throats and snores like a grown man. So they checked him out and he has to have his tonsils and adenoids out. That should be loads of fun. After going thru it with Scarlett last year at least we are some what prepared.
Scarlett has become the little drama queen. She is totally girl. She has been such a helper with Paisley. She wanted to be a mommy. She has been in dance class all year. They are having their recital on the 30th of May. They are doing the Bunny Hop. She looks so cute in her little Bunny outfit. She wants to play in it but she has to wait till the dance recital is over. Plus it would be the most expensive play outfit ever. She is going to be doing ballet for the summer and maybe tap for next year. She just LOVES her dance.
Paisley is growing by leaps and bounds. She is sleeping for the most part pretty well during the night she only wakes up normally once per night. So we can’t complain too much with that. She has been having problems with her tummy so I have been taking her to my chiropractor to help with that. He is working wonders with her she seams to like it also. She is doing really well her holding her head up and she is trying her hardest to roll over. She coos smiles and laughs all the time. They grow so fast. I just want to soak it all in.
We have recently had another addition into our family. Tommy’s sister and brother in law have adopted a little Koran girl. She is about 8 months old. She came in last Tuesday to the states. We haven’t gotten to meet her yet but we are so very excited to. I have seen pictures of her and she is SO DARN CUTE. Her name is Sophia we are so thrilled she is part of our family.
My sister is also in town now for several months. Sean left for Iraq last week and she and the kids came home during his tour. She also found out that she is pregnant with her 3rd. Needless to say she is going to have her hands full. So we are thrilled to add 1 more to the family.
My dad also had a complete knee replacement on Monday. He is being dad with this milking it for everything it is worth. LOL…Just kidding…He is doing very well with it. He has been very careful not to push his limits. He got released this morning from the hospital.
Tommy’s mother also had some big news this year. She got remarried earlier in the year.
I really think that is just about all the news that has been going on. I will try to start doing better. But with a little one in the house free time seams to not come around to often. I am not sure how I have found some down time just now with having my 3 kids and my sister 2 kids. But with 2 babies sleeping it makes things a little easier.
For the past week 1 person or all of us have been sick in the house. It started with Scarlett having a drippy snotty nose. She then passed it to Evan, then Tommy, then Paisley and finally me. Yeah loads of fun here. The 2 girls were the only ones concerning enough to take to the dr. I had to take them both in last Thursday due to Scarlett’s ear draining blood and in pain and Paisley was just really sick, coughing, snotting and sneezing. We found out that Scarlett has bronchitis, and really bad ear infection and then today got the results that she is high risk for a staph infection. Paisley has RSV. Needless to say we are keeping Lysol and Clorox in business. Paisley is on antibiotics, breathing treatments and a suction machine we are doing all at home. Scarlett is on ear drops and antibiotics. Both are doing better now than they were last week. Hopefully the bug will leave us soon. So we can get back to enjoying having a newborn and not worrying constantly. For such a sick baby she is such a good baby. She has isn’t fussy at all. She is pretty much just sleeping all the time except between 1-3 am. But we can deal with that I guess.
Welcome Paisley Grace.
We welcomed Paisley Grace to our family on Friday March 6, 2009 at 1143 am. She weighed 8lbs and was 20 inches long. Labor isn’t self wasn’t that bad delivery on the other hand was awful the worst yet. She was transverse meaning she body was sideways not breach sideways. Also the epidural didn’t work. It wasn’t fun at all. But she came out healthy and happy and that is all that mattered.
When she was born we didn’t have a name set yet. We were torn between 2. Then when she was born Tommy decided on Paisley but suddenly we didn’t like the middle name so he and our friend Erica search on the net and found her middle name. I said it is funny her name is Grace since by the Grace of God neither one of use was seriously injured during the delivery. Just a few bruises.
Paisley is a happy baby. We have only heard her cry a few times. She mainly just whimpers and that is it. She sleeps eats and poops. What a life right?
The kids are doing great with her. They love her to pieces. As do we. We are so thrilled that she is finally here. We have been so blessed to have 3 healthy children we really couldn’t ask for more.

Have you ever had your kid say the funniest thing…Even if it isn’t appropriate…Last night Scarlett and I were laying in bed with the dogs playing with them. Tommy and Evan were at the computer…Scarlett goes to touch the Wookie and I go don’t touch him there that is his pee-pee. Well she goes (you know being 4 you should always be on alert of what will come to there mind.) If that is where a boys pee-pee is where is a girls…Evan being the master mind he is going. Girls have pee-pee’s in their butt. Needless to say we tried not to laugh. We just kinda changed the subject very quickly…At least this went on in the house and not say at dinner with my grandparents…
Thank you everyone for the Birthday wishes…I had a great birthday. So much better than the last one…Mom took us out for both Tommy and I’s birthday and then dad took us out the next night. Tommy was so sweet he had flowers delivered to me (first time he has ever done this) and then Evan brought me a cake and more flowers to dinner…It was a great day…Thanks everyone…
Happy 41st birthday Tommy. Hope you have a great day. WOW am I really married to someone that old. Well it looks like this is how you are going to spend your day after you get home from work…Tommy got to chose his birthday meal and what did he pick out. Mac and Cheese and chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
You ever have one of those days that you should have just stayed in bed. Well that was me. I had my every 2 weeks dr apt today at 9am. That should have been the first clue not to get out of bed. I am so not a morning person and neither are my kids. So Tommy woke me up at 730 as I am half dead to the world I get up get ready and then go to get the kids ready. Poor Evan took like 15 min to wake up. Anyways. I take them to my grandparents to watch them since you never know what the dr is going to do and the last thing I want to do is explain to my 4 and 5 year old what is going on down there. I will save that for another day. Well good news is I didn’t gain but 2lbs so I was happy with that and I didn’t have to hear the Dr’s mouth on it. But then the bad news started out. My blood pressure was high and I had protein in my urine which means YUP signs of Preeclampsia OH goody. Then we went over all of my blood work that I just had done last week. They found out I have some kind of infection or bacteria in my body they just don’t know what. Then my iron is really low. Dr thinks I am at high risk for lots of blood loss so I have to start taking extra iron. He said this is why I am bruising like mad and am really tired all of the time. Then he gets to my glucose test. It was freakishly low. No shock to me I always have freakishly low sugar but he seamed to be a little worried about it. So I get to keep an extra close eye on the signs when they get to low. Then the best one yet. Here goes. She is going to be bigger than Evan was. It hurts me to even think about it. What is she going to be 10lbs. OUCH!!! Sorry Heather I know you did this one but I DON’T WANT TO. But the good side of it is he will not let me go past 39 weeks but he doesn’t think I will last that long. The baby is doing fine she is of no concern she is happy where she is and I am about ready for this to be over a few more weeks.
